Symbol of the Great Work
In Godfrey Dawson's Hermetic Tarot deck, he uses a symbol which he says represents the Great Work. It's a superimposition of the symbols of Libra and Saturn. I was wondering if anyone knows where this symbol originated? I'm curious about it.

I think it's on every card (I haven't double-checked this. Very nearly so if not). Have a look, for example, at The Hanged Man, underneath the water symbol on the left.
Re: Symbol of the Great Work
The symbol in question is a sigil that Godfrey Dowson uses as his maker's mark, which functions as his signature for all his works... as opposed to a symbol of the Great Work. See page 6 of the Hermetic Tarot LWB (Little White Book) for reference.

Re: Symbol of the Great Work
Hmm... I seem to remember reading that it was a symbol of the Great Work accomplished? I must have a different version of the booklet, because I see no reference to it on page 6 of mine. Anyway, I guess it would make sense if it was a personal symbol of his.
