The Afterlife Project - feeding power of the dead into your electronic gadgets.
Yup, the ultimate in recycling and a chance to put a little spark into your loved one’s lives after you’ve moved on. Still in the design stages this concept is being worked on (apparently seriously) by James Auger of http://www.auger-loizeau.com/ & Johnny Richards of http://www.johnnyrichards.com/.
Basically the idea behind this scheme is to create a microbial battery from the energy of a loved one that may then be used to power a range of electronic products. These guys claim to have already designed the battery that produces energy from the natural gastric fluid released by a decomposing body.
It really is about generating life after death. As they say, ‘All of those chemicals have existed since the Big Bang. We die, we decompose, it starts again. The microbial fuel cell literally taps into that process.’
I first heard about this on the Stuff You Should Know podcast from How Stuff Works

I somehow
like the story of the guy encapsulating his wife's ashes and dosing himself every morning with breakfast so much better...compared to this.
