Re: Dr. John Mumfords Magical Tattwa Cards
I've read two of Mumford's books (Ecstasy Through Tantra & Chakra & Kundalini Workbook). He came across as informed and sincere, I thought his tone was engaging, and the exercises he suggested were very practical - and effective. Here's to hoping this one pops up in a digest some time in the future!

Re: Dr. John Mumfords Magical Tattwa Cards
I haven't seen this one yet, even in hard copy, though I'll keep my eyes open. I did want to point out that Llewellyn puts out a large amount of material, and we can hardly seem to keep up. I (well, my wife, technically) own a 2002 revision of Raymond Buckland's Complete Book of Withcraft, one of the few books in my personal collection that are actually in the Releases. Thing is, the version in the Releases is the pre-revised version, so my copy is more up to date. I didn't have the time to scan my library in this Release, but I'll try for next one. I'd like to see not only new stuff that we don't already have, but also more recent versions of the stuff we do.
This is certainly on the "want to see" list!

As it's a Llewellyn Publication and so yellowed and dog-eared before its time I think a digital preservation is in order.
BTW: His name is JONN not John.

Re: Dr. John Mumfords Magical Tattwa Cards
Well, the book has a huge chunk of dross and filling as well as plugs for his “beloved Rosicrucians (AMORC)” but in my opinion a lot of the exercises are useful, although primarily for developing astral seeing.
Personally I am not a big Mumford fan. Not sure if I find him confusing or just confused.I think he has withdrawn the book as it is one of the correspondence courses he now runs, and at last look folk are asking for 150 UK pounds on Amazon for a copy. Certainly not worth that, although worth the 8 pounds I paid for mine.
A much more coherent book is by another of Swami Satyananda Saraswati's student's Swami Satyasangananda.
Her book is called Tattwa Shuddhi, which conversley you can buy new for 2 UK Pounds.

Ive been looking for this book for a while. In my experience, Mumford gives good exercises but can ramble on a bit. His word association stuff im not a fan of but maybe its just not corny enough for me...go figure.

Does this count ?
That Tattwa Shuddhi book must be good though, like all of Satyananda's.

Mumford
Cicklus,
I hope this is of use.
The Link above appears to be the text of Mumford's tattwa book minus the bibliography (see below) and the full color cards themselves. My Spanish is poor (at best) so I cannot comment on the translation, but it seems to faithfully follow the text. I liked Mumford's book and card set, but in my opinion it certainly isn't worth the money that people want for it now.
I would think if one wants to experiment with tattwic visions that Regardie provides a workable system in The Golden Dawn, and more on this and astral workings in general may be found in the G.'.D.'. Flying Rolls 4, 11, 12, 14, 25, 26, 30, and 33. The Flying Rolls 14, 26, and 30 deal most specifically with the tattwas. I believe these are all online.
Prasad Rama's Nature's Finer Forces (cited below) is supposedly the source of the G.'.D.'. tattwa workings, and may also be found online.

“Annotated Bibliography
“Muni, Rajarshi. Awakening the Life Force. St. Paul: Llewellyn Publications, 1994. An excellent nineties guide to the fundamental concepts of Indian Philosophy. For a fuller exposition of Samkhyan cosmology and ontology note Chapter Four and Five.
“Rama, Prasad. Nature’s Finer Forces. Adyar, Madras: Theosophical Society, 1894 The seminal source work upon which the Western Tradition has drawn. The copyright has long since expired and this classic is available as a reprint reproduction facsimile, from Health Research, Mokelumne Hill, P.O. Box 70, CA, 95245.
“Regardie, Isreal, The Golden Dawn; Volume One & Two, Sixth Edition. St. Paul: Llewellyn Publications, 1989. This is the foundation book for Ceremonial Magic as formalized by The Golden Dawn and I have included some extracts on the Tattwas in the appendix.
“Saraswati, Satyananda. Swara Yoga. Monghyr, Bihar: Bihar School of Yoga, 1983. A modern translation from the original Sanskrit of the Shiva Swarodaya with introductions, editing and annotations by the medically trained Swamis of the Saraswati order. Excellent.
“Tyson, Donald. Three Books of Occult Philosophy. Llewellyn Publications, St, Paul, Minn., 1993. So far as I am concerned Donald Tyson is one of the brightest contemporary Occult writers in America. Check his Appendix III: The Elements and Appendix VI: The Humors.
"Yates, Francis. The Art of Memory. London: Rotledge Kegan-Paul; 1966. Traces the history and importance of visualization and memory techniques during the renaissance. Very authoritative, but not easy reading. Be warned that you will not pick up any memory tips; this is not a book of mnemonics.”

Re: Dr. John Mumfords Magical Tattwa Cards
Thanks for the infos Ben. My Spanish is very poor too, just gave the link for a Spanish reader, if it helps.
I'm not so good on GD neither Crowley. It's just that there are scattered information here and there, and so many places, that one get's lost in the process, and it would be better if things were better organized or at least easier to find for the beginner's, as far as Crowley and GD are concerned. Or maybe there is already, dunno.
I'm into elemental working now, gathering practical methods here and there, so I'll check Regardie's and GD Flying Rolls.
Funny, but I had, and was checking Prasad's book the other day and found it intriguing,
coincidence...??!

Re: Dr. John Mumfords Magical Tattwa Cards
This book is available at theoccult.bz . I think the exercises in this book are powerful when practiced. The real value is in the great amount of effort that went into the production of the cards themselves. The inks are very bright and produce afterimages through flashing colors quite well. Of course, computer generated images can do much better. This deck was quite a technical achievement nontheless.
Flashing colors and phosphenism are excellent techniques for opening up psychic vision.
