Hi all!! I am new
Hi, I joined a long time back, but was a bit busy with other things. I daresay I have made a few posts around here, but thought I would drop in here and say hi to all of you. I am an astral projection student in search of guidance and information. I am here in the hope of finding something here and of course sharing the little that I know.

Hi and welcome! Care to tell us anything about how you are studying astral projection? Maybe where your practices are coming from and what draws you to it, for example?
Re: Hi all!! I am new
Looks like I'm not the only one who'd like a bit of direction on this particular subject.
Or at least a better idea of what direction others are taking...

Indeed!
I must say that astral projection was probably the first of my "occult" interests. My interest started over ten years ago. I wish my practice and dedication would have started then as well (it still hasn't; I don't have a regular astral projection practice/exercise).
What I have gleaned so far is that it may be nothing like I've built it up to be in my head. Of course, when I first discovered it I wanted to do it mainly for the "cool factor" (wouldn't it be really cool if I could leave my body and go places?). Although there's nothing wrong with that, now such practices are colored by my spiritual desires, so that the "cool factor" has taken second place to the desire to understand more about the universe and my place in it.
From things that I've read, it's likely that we have all astrally projected at one time or another, and maybe we do on a regular basis and just don't remember it. Indeed, there is a school of thought that some dreams (particularly lucid ones) are astral adventures.
Regardless, I'm still interested in having an unmistakable astral projection experience that can't be mistaken for a dream. Of course, it's likely that it won't just happen. I'll have to work at it.
