Hullo (and apparently this needs a longer title...)
I've peeked in here once or twice before, but only joined today.
I've been interested in occultism since I was a kid (I grew up across the street from a cemetery, as such seances were a common feature of my childhood). Raised largely agnostic, I've had an interest in various spiritual systems and mythologies for as long as I can remember, though I've been an atheist since I was a teenager.
I've been practicing (more formal) magick for about fifteen years, influenced heavily by chaos magick, Satanism, Crowley, Spare and the like.
Books are central to my being, and as such I've a fairly extensive (and ever-growing) library. I also write a bit, and maintain several occult-oriented websites.
So, that's a bit about me. I'm always looking to connect with both like-minded and contrary folks to challenge me further and deepen my understanding of self and my relationship with the world.
So...hullo.

Hello, and welcome!
What?! No mention of chaos magick?!
As a fellow bibliophile, if you had to pick your current favourite(s), what would it/they be?

Hey, I did mention chaos magick!
In 2008 I wrote a post about my picks for the Top 5 Books on Chaos Magick, and in 2007 I made a list of Psyche's List of Chaos Magick Primers for a festival I was lecturing at.
Suffice to say that both lists could be a lot longer, hehe.
I still think the best all 'round book on magick is Book 4, by Crowley. It's informative, entertaining and concise. Except for the fact that it's now out of print, it's one every magickian should read, irrespective of their feelings for Crowley the man, or their favourite flavour of occult practice.

Greetz!
I was wondering how long it might be before we added your book club to our affiliates. The books themselves are awesome to have available, but being able to communicate with others about them as we read them only does wonders for absorbing the meaning within the covers. Seems to me our two groups go hand-in-hand.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!
Side question: I filled out my signature, but it's not appearing on my posts. Do I need to reach a minimum threshold of posts before this feature kicks in, or did I miss clicking something, or...?
Thanks.

In the "Preferences" tab, there's a radio button for something like, "Always attach signature?", which should be set to yes... I don't think there's anything else that needs to be changed, though?

@neutralrobotboy Thanks for the tip! Solved! (Hopefully.)
@ankh_f_n_khonsu Thanks for your kind words, I rarely get feed back and it's good to hear that people find it useful.
