Video detailing the callous and brutal child abuse activities of many churches in Nigeria who label innocent children as witches in order to extort money from the parents by claiming to cure the children of witchcraft.

Nigerian children tortured and killed in the name of witchcraft

In southern Nigeria, children are reportedly denounced as witches by local churches and they are inhumanely tortured or even killed by the pastors as well as by their own parents in the name of exorcism.
Although in the 21st century, in most part of the world, incidents of persecuting and killing innocent people in the name of witchcraft are believed to be sporadic, but it seems, some phony pastors in southern Nigeria are trying to deceive the ignorant people, who are credulous enough to believe in pastors’ proclamation that some of their own kids are actually wicked witches. These kids are brutally tortured by the pastors and also by their own parents as a part of the exorcism exercise, according to a report published on last Sunday .

Jeremiah, 10, an alleged victim of this witchcraft, broke into tears as he recalls how his father tortured and doused him with petrol and set him ablaze accusing him of sorcery[.]

Five suspected witches burnt to death in Kenya

NAIROBI: Five elderly people suspected of practising witchcraft were burnt to death in western Kenya, police have
said.

"They include four women and a man in their 80's who were accused of having abducted a child," Kisii deputy police Commander Manasseh Musyoka said yesterday.

The killings occurred at Bomatara Village in Mosocho Division.

A resident who declined to be named said the abducted child was found dumped on the roadside.

"He was unconscious and when he regained it, he was able to tell the names of his abductors. That is when a decision was reached in the village to hunt them down. And they were all burnt in their houses," he said.

In March last year, 12 people, mainly elderly men and women were burnt to death in Nyamira district in similar circumstances.
