"The Wondrous World of Chi Power"
I didn't really know where to put this, so feel free to move it, if needed.

Dunno. Haven't trained under the guy.
IMO, any competent Tai Chi/Chi Kung sifu can demonstrate the explosiveness of harnessed and directed chi. If they can't (which isn't the same as won't), you might look for another instructor.

In my experience, depending on the agents involved in the confrontation, I'd place my $ on the student of Chi Kung. Size has little bearing in the matter.

Re: "The Wondrous World of Chi Power"
im not bashing the internal arts, they work if the person using them, well, knows how to use them. but i have yet to see personally, a skilled practitioner use them in a for real throw-down. ive seen quite a few practitioners of the hard arts(kickboxing, wrestling, etc.) get beat up just cause they didnt count on having to fight 'crazy'. you ultimately fight how you train. and in most martial arts ive seen, internal or external, dont prepare people for real danger.
you dont see any internal practitioners (that i know of) in the ufc or any big tournaments. hell, i would give much props for an internal artist to participate in the dog brothers gathering.
i really would like to see it in action/ full application in a dangerous situation, at least full contact sparring. until then im a little skeptical, but i hold this view for the hard external arts as well. drills and scripted demos dont really interest me unless i think i can use them to save my bacon.

This aspect of Chi Force can also be seen within that of Systema, and may be viewed as more related to the psychological and psycho-physical levels of the human condition....

Re: "The Wondrous World of Chi Power"
the systema stuff looks interesting. ive watched a lot of their videos/clips in the past. the movement stuff has me intrigued but im a little suspect of some of the 'tap the guy and he drops' stuff. a lot is biomechanics, yeah, but ive competed full contact kickboxing and wrestled in highschool, and im not 100% convinced. perhaps im missing something. the only shots like that i have known to work are eye, throat, and groin shots. sciatic nerve and brachial nerve stuff as well.
the video of the guy claiming he wanted to see it used first hand is a good idea but i personally dont think they went hard enough. ive had wrestling practices 1000x harder than that demo. maybe they were worried about lack of safety concerns? i dont know.
i guess what im getting at is if a system claims to be a combat system or a 'defense' system it should be able to work in unscripted circumstances most the time with an emphasis on awareness and mobility. i think the systema stuff has the mobility stuff, as far as awareness, havent personally spoken to a practitioner.
as far as chi power? im having difficulty telling which is magical, biomechanical, physics and or just good intuition.
