The Inner Journey Newsletters were written and published by Joseph E. Nolen from 1991 through 1997, for a total of 21 issues. They contain Joseph's summing up of his nearly 40-year experience and practice of Qabalah, Niva Kalpa Samadhic persepctive and experience, working directly with Ann Davies for almost 15 years, and later being the Mystery School (B.O.T.A.) president.

It was his wish while he lived that I assemble them to find a publisher, to disseminate them for the purpose of receiving all those who seek the wisdom of the Western Mysteries, especially regarding Mystical Qabalah as taught by Dr. Paul Foster Case and the Reverend Ann Davies. The Rights to the Inner Journeys have since been graciously conferred upon me by his Estate to accomplish this, of which I have been quite honored to accept. The book, currently in PDF form, comes with fascinating cover art created by Angela Mohrle. However, while I plan to form The Inner Journey Foundation to publish all his works and lectures, the decision was made to make everything on the site available for free to anyone who desired.

Barbelith is an experimental online community centered around unique message-board software. The aim of Barbelith is to create an online space where the standard of conversation, discussion and debate is higher than anywhere else online and in which everyone has a say in the running and management of the board. We are working to achieve that by gradually devolving power as much as possible to the people who use the board on a regular basis - and allowing them to collaboratively self-define the evolving aspirations of the community.

Barbelith is not a community that celebrates any specific approach to the world but one that is interested in cross-overs, hybridisation and the kind of creativity that comes from having a space open for conspiracy theorists, hard scientists, engineers, cosmologists, mystics, political activists, philosophers, geeks, screen-writers, artists and other creative individuals from all across the world.

Divided into over 2500 sections and providing tens of thousands of pages of text, over 2800 images, over 250 complete alchemical texts, extensive bibliographical material on the printed books and manuscripts, numerous articles, introductory and general reference material on alchemy.

This site is organised by Adam McLean, the well known authority on alchemical texts and symbolism, author and publisher of over 50 books on alchemical and Hermetic ideas.

Alchemy is a complex subject with many different interconnected aspects. Many people still only think of the quest of the philosophers' stone to change base metals into gold. On this web site you will be able to explore the riches of alchemical texts, some of which are wonderful works of allegorical literature, delve into its amazing, beautiful and enigmatic symbolism, and ponder its underlying hermetic philosophy, which holds a picture of the interconnection of the Macrocosm and Microcosm.
