Hello,

I discovered this forum through Greg's podcast, Occult of Personality, and felt inspired to look a little bit deeper. My background is in the relationship between music theory and tarot. I've been studying this topic for a couple of years but only became fully engaged during the past six months. If there is any opportunity to share what I know about these topics, I will be glad to open up and offer the knowledge to you.

Warmth! cheers

Welcome aboard!

This is a really interesting topic to me, as I'm also a musician... I'm particularly interested in the possibilities of various keys and tuning schemes. Have you ever played with alternate tuning systems for esoteric purposes? Also, have you read any of Edward Maryon's "Marcotone"? Both are somewhere on my list of things to do. Anyway, I look forward to hearing more about this. Sounds like you're much further along in your research of this topic than I am.

Funny you should mention it... The tone color alchemy project that I manage is based on the Marcotone method. Paul Foster Case (founder of the B.O.T.A.) adapted the rider waite deck slightly and incorporated Maryon's Tone-Color correspondences into the tarot system. It's really great stuff.

Steve Willner (Labyrinth of the Psychonaut / Soundlessdawn) and I created a pet project called Tone Color Alchemy, which you can read more about at the website. Do I have permission to list my website here at the forum? If not, you can p.m. me for details.

There is also an article about the project here on the ODM forum, if you'd like to discuss further. See the Meditation, Visualization, Astral Projection & Lucid Dreaming area for more on this topic... Arrow

Yes please post a link, either post it in the thread especially for posting links to interesting websites: Thread here or include it in one of your posts. NP

There is also a section called 'Personal Experimentations' where people are encouraged to keep an online journal of experiments and workings, which might interest you.

Anyway welcome and thank you for the interesting material you are sharing with us.

It's generally live links to files that we discourage. Links to interesting sites are highly encouraged, and we appreciate when they are (cross-)posted to the Links and Shameless Self Promotion thread listed in Hadrianswall's last post, above. This simply makes them easier to locate.

Also, don't forget to check out our Release Index and download any of our Releases you feel might be useful to you.

Thank you for sharing what you know!
