    J. Finley Hurley : Sorcery Empty J. Finley Hurley : Sorcery

I have this in one of a hundred boxes in storage at home, but am an expat for another year & would love to have access to it - does anyone have an electronic version? I've hunted all over the internet and no luck (and out of print.)

    Author: J. Finley Hurley
    Title: Sorcery
Publisher: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1985
    ISBN-10: 0140194169
    ISBN-13: 978-0140194166

"Hurley, a forensic psychologist, writes about remote control of human behavior and delves into the cultural antecedents of the phenomenon found in the literature of anthropology, magic, and shamanism. He also reviews relevant findings from psychology and parapsychology about the ability to hex or heal at a distance. He attempts to show that sorcery is theoretically possible and provides instructions on how to practice it. In the last chapter, he speculates on the ramifications of sorcery and the possibility that it may be an unsuspected force in history. His bibliography is extensive and useful, especially for its nonparapsychological citations."

Hrm... I think I've stumbled across that before... It certainly looks intriguing. Hopefully it'll turn up! Smile
