Satan's Message to Jesus, Man and God -

In orthodox scripture, Satan speaks 3 times; once to man, once to God, and once to Jesus. Satan himself never denies the existence of God.

What Satan said to man:

Question God's Word - Gen 3:1
God's Word is a lie - Gen 3:4
God is hiding something good from you - Gen 3:5

What Satan said to and about God:

I come to heaven to accuse the righteous -Job 1:7
I question God's honor - Job 1:7
I am subject to God's power over me - Job 1:10
God blesses his people - Job 1:10
God is my superior - Job 1:12

What Satan said to Jesus:

Satisfy your carnal desires -Mat 4:3
Mock God - Mat 4:6
Give me your eternal soul - Mat 4:9

Basically, all this might be reduced to:

2. Reject -Gen 3:4
3. Resent -Gen 3:5
4. Lust -Mat 4:3
5. Blaspheme -Mat 4:6

That list describes well the development of non-unity consciousness.

WE are born egoless, but experience teaches us that we live in the world of seperation. So we grow, believing ourselves to be no more than an individual (1,2)

If we look within, we experience the void left by this denial manifesting as restlessness, anxiety, fear, aloneness etc. Not being able to face this existential pit we seek to bury it in the pursuit of the external, with the belief that happiness can be found by filling this hole from external sources (love, sex, money, power, etc) (3,4)

In doing so we are blind to the basic unity of all existence, and by abusing or taking advantage of the 'other' (wether on an individual, group, or ecological level) we blaspheme the idea of unity (Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Mat 25:40) (5)

Being completely disconnected subjectively from spirit we are a slave to the Wheel of Samsara, and with our only identity being Ego based, death is something to be really feared and believed in. (6)

That list describes well the development of freedom consciousness.

The first step is to realize that we are living the life of a slave and that all the perceived trappings of ‘freedom’ are merely scraps thrown at us to maintain our sense of stupor. (1) This insight helps us to develop awareness, as we begin to see how we have been programmed on all levels, from parents to school, from the government to the TV. (2)

Once we see the extent of the abuse to our freedom and connect emotionally to the implications (3) we look for the power to rise above this corrupt system. We see the game but do not play, merely using it to achieve what we want, need, desire. (4)

This is not enough though. As we begin to explore, cherish and bloom within our freedom, we also want it for our loved ones, our neighbors, the world. To do this we must come out of the shadows and shatter the lies we are told. (5)

The battle continues until we kill the system or it kills us, either way: ignorance lost is never found. So let us stand tall and free, for it is better to die on our feet than to die on our knees. (6)

Hmmm interesting! He seems to be an entity of few words... this Satan.. unlike God. I wonder if the poor fellow is even given the chance to speak. In the entire Bible, he speaks only a few words... and people are terrified of his power.
